College TRB Exam Guidelines | DOs & DON’Ts
The College TRB Examination is a crucial step for candidates aspiring to secure teaching positions.
To ensure a smooth and stress-free exam experience, candidates must strictly follow the official examination guidelines.
Professor Academy has compiled this complete and easy-to-understand guide covering the exam schedule, mandatory instructions, DOs & DON’Ts, and special provisions for PWD candidates.
Schedule of Examination – 27 December 2025
Forenoon Session
- Reporting Time: 8:30 a.m.
- Gate Closing Time: 9:00 a.m.
- Examination Timing:
- All Candidates: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- PWD Candidates: 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- All Candidates: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Afternoon Session
- Reporting Time: 2:00 p.m.
- Gate Closing Time: 2:30 p.m.
- Examination Timing:
- All Candidates: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- PWD Candidates: 3:00 p.m. – 4:20 p.m.
- All Candidates: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Important:
No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall after the gate closing time.
Candidates are also not permitted to leave the Examination Hall before the specified time under any circumstances.
DOs – Mandatory Instructions for Candidates
1. Report Early
Candidates must report to the Examination Centre well before the reporting time.
Late entry after gate closing time is strictly prohibited.
2. Carry the Hall Ticket
- A printed Hall Ticket is mandatory.
- Entry will not be permitted without the Hall Ticket.
3. Carry ONE Original Photo Identification Card
Candidates must carry any one of the following original Photo ID proofs:
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card
- Passport
- Driving License
Failure to produce an original Photo ID will result in denial of entry.
4. Use Black Ballpoint Pen Only
All required entries and OMR markings must be done using a black ballpoint pen only.
5. Follow Exam Duration Carefully
Forenoon Session
- All Candidates: 3 hours 30 minutes
- PWD Candidates: 4 hours
Afternoon Session
- All Candidates: 1 hour
- PWD Candidates: 1 hour 20 minutes
Compulsory Tamil Eligibility Test (CTET)
- As per G.O.(Ms.) No.121, School Education Department (TRB), dated 01.07.2022
- Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in Part-A
- Only candidates meeting this requirement will have their Part-B answer sheets evaluated
PWD Candidates
- PWD candidates are exempted from the Compulsory Tamil Language Test
- As per G.O.(Ms.) No.49, Human Resources (M) Department, dated 23.05.2022
DON’Ts – Strictly Prohibited Items & Actions
Do NOT enter the exam hall after gate closing time
Do NOT leave the exam hall before the permitted time
Prohibited Items
- Mobile phones
- Smart or digital watches
- Calculators
- Bluetooth devices
- Log tables, books, notes, or any electronic gadgets
Possession of prohibited items will lead to rejection of candidature.
Dress Code Restrictions
- Belts
- Shoes or high heels
- Digital watches
- Candidates must wear chappals or sandals only
Other Restrictions
Do NOT bring valuables
- Examination centres are not responsible for safekeeping
Do NOT carry any printed or handwritten materials
Only the Hall Ticket and Photo ID are permitted inside the Examination Hall
