The UGC NET December 2025 examination is one of the most important national-level eligibility tests for aspirants aiming to become Assistant Professors and Junior Research Fellows (JRF).
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already announced the exam schedule, and now an important update has been released for all registered candidates.
As per the official notification, the UGC NET December 2025 exam will be conducted from 31 December 2025 to 7 January 2026. Candidates should note that there is no examination on New Year’s Day.
NTA has now released the Advance City Intimation Slip for the UGC NET December 2025 exam. This facility allows candidates to check the city in which their examination center has been allotted.
While submitting the application form, candidates were asked to select three preferred exam cities. Based on these preferences and administrative feasibility, NTA has allotted a main exam city for each candidate.
For example, if a candidate selected Trichy, Madurai, and Coimbatore, the city intimation slip will show which one of these cities has been allotted for the exam.
At this stage, only the exam city is revealed. The exact exam center address and venue details will be mentioned only in the UGC NET Admit Card (Hall Ticket).
