The Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (TNSET – 2024) – eligibility exam conducted for the Assistant Professors in Tamil Nadu colleges and universities, is conducted on 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th March 2025.
The official announcement was earlier released on 20th March 2024 via Notification No. 01/2024 by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, as per the authorization granted by the Government Order and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Following a recent ruling by the Hon’ble High Court in case number W.P.No.13187/2025, an interim order was passed on 18th July 2025 regarding the Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) reservation.
As per this order, the TNSET 2024 candidates claiming PSTM quota are now required to submit proper documentary proof.
All TNSET aspirants claiming PSTM reservation must upload the certificates in Format I and Format II through the official website of the Teachers Recruitment Board: www.trb.tn.gov.in.
The submission window is open from 23rd July 2025 to 7th August 2025, until 5:00 PM.
Candidates who do not upload the required PSTM certificates within the mentioned timeline will not be eligible to claim the PSTM reservation under any circumstances.
