Arunachal Pradesh mountaineer and Everest summiteer Kabak Yano has successfully reached the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain at 5,895 metres. The climb forms part of her “Seven Summits” mission. Governor KT Parnaik, who flagged off the expedition on July 28, lauded her determination and resilience, calling her an inspiration for the state.

 

₹300-Crore ‘Bharat’ Taxi to Compete with Ola & Uber

 

Eight prominent cooperative organisations have joined forces to launch ‘Bharat Taxi’ — a commission-free, cooperative-owned ride-hailing service with an initial ₹300 crore fund. Spearheaded by Multi-State Sahakari Taxi Cooperative Ltd and supported by IFFCO, NCDC, and Amul, the initiative aims to ensure fair driver income and affordable fares. Backed by IIM-B and a tech partner, it has already onboarded 200 drivers and plans a nationwide app launch by late 2025.
