About the Role

Professor Academy is looking for a knowledgeable and well-organized Course Coordinator for Mathematics Department to manage academic planning, faculty coordination, course delivery, student support, assessments, and learning resources. The candidate should possess strong subject knowledge and ensure the smooth and timely completion of the course.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Planning and Coordination

• Plan and coordinate the courses according to the approved syllabus and academic calendar.
• Prepare class schedules, study plans, revision schedules, and examination plans.
• Coordinate with faculty members to ensure the timely completion of all syllabus units.
• Monitor daily classes and resolve issues affecting course delivery.
• Organize orientation programmes, academic meetings, revision sessions, and doubt-clearing sessions.

Content and Learning Resources

• Review and validate study materials, presentations, assignments, practice questions, and question papers before publication.
• Ensure that class recordings, class documents, tests, assignments, and other resources are uploaded on time.
• Verify that the academic content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with the latest CSIR NET Mathematical Sciences syllabus and examination pattern.
• Coordinate the preparation and updating of course materials.

Academic Coordination and Student Success

• Coordinate classes, revision sessions, mock tests, assignments, and doubt-clearing sessions to ensure smooth academic delivery.
• Guide students on the syllabus, examination pattern, study plans, and academic guidelines while addressing academic queries in coordination with faculty.
• Monitor student attendance, participation, academic progress, and performance, and arrange remedial or revision sessions for students requiring additional support.
• Review question papers, answer keys, test results, and performance reports to identify learning gaps and recommend academic improvements.
• Collect and analyse student feedback and implement measures to enhance the overall learning experience.
• Maintain accurate academic records, including class schedules, attendance, syllabus completion, test results, faculty reports, and student performance data.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly academic reports to the management.
• Act as the primary liaison between students, faculty, management, and internal departments, ensuring timely communication and completion of academic activities within prescribed timelines.

Eligibility Criteria

• Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is mandatory.
• CSIR NET, CSIR NET (Admission to Ph.D.), TNSET, or GATE qualification is preferred.
• Previous teaching, academic coordination, content development, or competitive-examination training experience will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office, online teaching platforms, and Learning Management Systems is preferred.
