About the Role
Professor Academy is seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented HR Generalist with at least three years of relevant experience to manage end-to-end HR operations. The candidate should have practical experience in recruitment, onboarding, induction, payroll processing, employee relations, HR administration, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for various positions.
- Source candidates through job portals, social media, employee referrals, consultancies, and other recruitment channels.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial HR interviews.
- Coordinate technical and final interviews with hiring managers.
- Conduct reference and background verification when required.
- Prepare offer letters and negotiate compensation within approved guidelines.
- Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate databases, and hiring reports.
Onboarding and Induction
- Coordinate pre-joining and joining formalities.
- Prepare appointment letters, employment agreements, and other HR documents.
- Verify employee documents and ensure completion of joining requirements.
- Conduct employee induction and orientation programmes.
- Coordinate employee ID cards, workstation allocation, and company assets.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
Payroll, Attendance and Leave Management
- Prepare and verify monthly payroll inputs accurately.
- Monitor attendance, leave, permissions, overtime, late arrivals, and loss of pay.
- Coordinate salary revisions, incentives, deductions, reimbursements, and final settlements.
- Maintain payroll-related records and statutory documentation.
- Address employee queries relating to salary, attendance, and leave.
HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including confirmation, transfer, promotion, resignation, exit interviews, and separation.
- Prepare HR letters, certificates, notices, circulars, and internal communications.
- Support performance appraisal and probation review processes.
- Handle employee concerns and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and workplace discipline.
- Generate periodic HR reports and management information reports.
Statutory Compliance and Policies
- Support compliance with applicable Indian labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and compliance-related documents.
- Assist in implementing and updating HR policies, standard operating procedures, and employee guidelines.
- Coordinate with consultants and relevant authorities whenever required.
Administration and Employee Engagement
- Support day-to-day office administration and workplace operations.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, security, maintenance, internet, and other service providers.
- Monitor office supplies, equipment, and administrative requirements.
- Plan employee engagement activities, meetings, training programmes, and organizational events.
- Support employee welfare initiatives and promote a positive work environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- MBA in Human Resource Management is mandatory.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience as an HR Generalist or HR Executive is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, induction, payroll processing, HR operations, employee relations, and administration.
- Good knowledge of Indian labour laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with HRMS software will be an added advantage.
