About the Role

Professor Academy is seeking an experienced and performance-driven Senior HR Manager to lead performance appraisal systems and operations. The candidate will be responsible for developing measurable performance standards, monitoring employee productivity, managing the employee lifecycle, strengthening HR policies, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Management and Appraisal

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s performance appraisal system.
• Develop role-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Result Areas (KRAs), and measurable performance standards.
• Establish monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual performance review processes.
• Coordinate probation reviews, confirmation assessments, salary revisions, promotions, and performance improvement plans.
• Collect and validate performance data from department heads and reporting managers.
• Analyse individual, departmental, and organizational performance trends.
• Identify underperformance and coordinate corrective actions, coaching, training, or performance improvement plans.
• Ensure appraisals are objective, evidence-based, consistent, and completed within prescribed timelines.
• Maintain appraisal records, ratings, feedback, and supporting documentation.
• Provide management with performance dashboards and recommendations for promotions, increments, rewards, role changes, or corrective action.
• Train managers and employees on appraisal processes, goal setting, feedback, and performance documentation.

Policy and Compliance Management

• Develop, review, and implement policies, standard operating procedures, and employee guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Maintain statutory registers, records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with legal consultants, auditors, government authorities, and external service providers when required.
• Conduct periodic HR audits and address identified gaps.

Eligibility Criteria

• MBA in Human Resource Management is mandatory.
• Minimum five years of relevant HR experience in performance appraisal and operations, including experience as an HR Manager, Senior HR Executive, or Operations Manager.
• Candidates from the hospital, healthcare, education, coaching institute, or EdTech industry will be preferred.
• Hands-on experience in developing and managing KPIs, KRAs, performance appraisals, and Performance Improvement Plans.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, employee lifecycle management, employee relations, HR policies, Indian labour laws, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRMS software.
