PG TRB 2025: How to Get Your Conduct & Character Certificate?

A Simple Guide for All Aspirants

If you’re preparing for the PG TRB Exam 2025, one of the key documents you’ll need during certificate verification is your Conduct Certificate and Character Certificate. 

Many candidates often get confused about how and where to obtain these certificates—especially if they studied in distance mode or are unsure about the format.

This blog will guide you step-by-step on how to get both certificates without any hassle.

1. Conduct Certificate – Where to Get It?

Your Conduct Certificate verifies your behavior and discipline during your academic period. Here’s how you can obtain it:

Regular Mode Students:

• Check your Transfer Certificate (TC) – often, the conduct certificate is already mentioned on it.
  
• If not, you can request a separate Conduct Certificate from your last studied institution (college/university).
  

Distance Mode Students:

• Don’t worry if you studied via distance education.
  
• You can still request the certificate from the last institution where you attended regular classes (example: UG or +2 college).
  

Tip: Institutions are generally supportive and will issue the conduct certificate if you provide proper details.

2. Character Certificate – How & Where to Get It?

The Character Certificate must be obtained from a Gazetted Officer—a person of authority in government service. This certificate confirms your good moral conduct and absence of any criminal or disqualifying history.

List of Eligible Gazetted Officers:

• Government College Principal / School Headmaster
  
• Government Hospital Doctors (Class A)
  
• Engineers from EB, PWD, etc.
  
• BDO, Tahsildar, Police SI, Inspectors
  
• Magistrates & other Judicial Authorities
  
• Forest Officers
  
• Other Class A & B Officers in Government Service
