Who Can Apply for TNTET 2025?

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 18 years (as of 1 July 2025)

Maximum Age: No upper age limit

TNTET Paper 1 Educational Qualification

Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed.

Higher Secondary with 45% marks + 2-year D.El.Ed. (NCTE norms)

Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed.

Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Special Education

Bachelor’s Degree + B.Ed.

Relaxation: 5% for SC, ST, BC, MBC/DNC, PwD candidates
Note: D.El.Ed. from outside Tamil Nadu requires an evaluation certificate

TNTET Paper 2 Educational Qualification

Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed.

Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed.

Graduation with 45% marks + B.Ed. (NCTE norms)

Higher Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed. or B.A./B.Sc.Ed.

Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed. (Special Education)
