Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

PG Assistant (Academics & Languages):
- Master’s in relevant subjects with: 50% + B.Ed.
Computer Instructor Grade I: Same as PG Assistant
Physical Director Grade I: B.P.Ed. 50% or M.P.Ed. (2 years)
Special Schools: (Differently Abled)
- PG : 50%
- B.Ed. (Special Education) for visually/hearing impaired

Important Eligibility Note for PG TRB Aspirants:

Candidates who have completed their education in a cross major are not eligible to apply for the PG TRB exam.

Additionally, students currently pursuing their Postgraduate (PG) or B.Ed. degrees are also not eligible.

As per official guidelines, only those who possess both PG and B.Ed. degree certificates are eligible to appear for the examination

SC/ST/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC/DW:  58 years

PG TRB Exam Pattern

Tamil Language Eligibility Test
- 30 MCQs | 50 marks | 30 minutes | Min. 40% pass mark – for all the category’s
Main Written Exam (OMR-based)
- 150 questions | 150 marks | 3 hours
- Sections: Subject-wise knowledge, Educational Methodology, General Knowledge
- Minimum pass marks: General 50% , SC 45%, ST 40%

Certificate Verification

Important Note on Tamil Eligibility Test:

The Tamil Eligibility Test is a qualifying paper—you must pass it to be considered eligible for final selection.

Even if a candidate scores high marks in the subject-specific paper, failing the Tamil Eligibility Test will lead to disqualification.

Also, please note:

State rank is calculated only based on the marks obtained in the subject paper (out of 150 marks).

Marks from the Tamil Eligibility Test are not included in the state rank calculation.
